Dental Trauma Session

As a community service, the Australian Dental Association (Inc) is for the first time, inviting members of non- dental health professions and sports officials who have an interest in the medical/dental management of their sportsmen and athletes to attend this session.

This session will address those issues of dental trauma which are critical to the appropriate care and first aid when a participating sportsman, at any level, suffers a major facial or dental injury. The lecturers have been selected because of their vast exposure in managing these injuries, or because they have been involved in treating elite athletes who have suffered major dental trauma. 

The session will address such issues as examination, diagnosis, appropriate imaging techniques, emergency management of facial, jaw and tooth injuries, age appropriate protection for athletes, and most importantly, what to do at the time of the injury, which is the most critical factor for ultimate success or failure.

Whether you are involved as a coach or manager of the local Auskick or Minky team, or are on the medical team of an AFL Football club, or the Wallabies, this is an opportunity not to be missed.

Entitlements:	Name Badge Access to Trauma Session on Friday 13 March from 1345  – 1800 hours Afternoon tea Industry Exhibition Entry from 1500 hours (during the Afternoon tea and coffee break)

Please note that you can collect your name badge for entry to the Session at the Congress Registration Desk from 1230 hours on Friday 13th March. The Desk will be located in the Level 2 Foyer, Perth Convention Exhibition Centre.

Cancellation And Refund Policy

Cancellations must be notified in writing to the Congress Managers.

Registration Fees

Before 4 December 2008 will incur an A$100.00 cancellation fee.
Before 5 February 2009 will receive a 50% refund of fees paid.
After 5 February 2009 there will be no refund.
